[1] The Lloyd’s Extractor is the most efficient machine for making strong liquid herb extracts. It was invented in the 1870s by John Uri Lloyd-the genius of 19th century U.S. herbal medicine & is otherwise known as the Cold Still- {or distiller}. Meaning it can remove the alcohol & leave the water in an herb extract without heating the herbs unlike an ordinary distiller. Also, it can pass the same batch of alcohol through an herb extract many times without heating it in order to make very strong extracts. Dr. Ed Alstat N.D., R.
